Fashion month has begun! In NYC, it has been exceptionally cold and snowy (Thanks Nemo! -__-) but that has not stopped the fashion pack. I must admit, I have been especially anticipating Alexander Wang's fall collection knowing fully well that this collection is the precursor to his debut collection at Balenciaga, and boy did he BRING IT. This collection has to have been the most imaginative and set the bar HIGH for other designers. It was almost like an f-you to all the naysayers saying that he would not be a great successor after Ghesquiere at Balenciaga. References to the 20's, minimalism, modernism, architecture, sports luxe, and of course, my favorite colors of grey, black, and white made this collection so memorable and a mature step up from the designer. Well done Wang, I look forward to your new beginning at Balenciaga.
